Couple of months ago I went to Sanuka Aiya's home for some work. (Project Suriya deyyo). He has been my main inspiration since I started music. We usually do talk about so many inspiring things and that day he taught me this.

3:30 am X Samples

Recently Charitha Attalage (I see him as the most disciplined music producer of SriLanka)  released the stems of his latest release galana ganga. I got tagged to that post by my friend Eshan. I downloaded the stems as soon as I got home after a gig. Once I imported the stems to ableton I realized how extra ordinary it was. I tried various approaches to remake it without harming the idea of lyrics and the feel. After a couple of unsuccessful projects I ended up rearranging the track as a minimal version.

Thats where I knew that I have the ability of chopping samples in un-prophetic(I just made this word) ways. So I started looking for stems of the artists I like. I found couple of tracks I love the most and downloaded the stems. Costed around 10gb of my data. But I never regret about overspending when it comes to music related things.

Trying to understand the blogging concept

Still using this blogging thing as a diary. Wanted to use password protection(Paid feature) over the blog but it is too early to invest money on a concept that I'm not sure of.

Watched a video on content marketing and decided to work on my graphics more.

Couldn't sleep after seeing budi's video. I kept looking videos of album art designing and downloaded couple of 
tutorials from youtube. Got to check them laater today.

Dilmin sent me 3 stems from the Sihinayen Fixed version. I renamed the folder as Sihinayen OLT*.  Have to work with the project tomorrow.
*OLT stands for One Last Time.

I tend to be more efficient and productive when the project folder name has OLT in it. 

The Idea of starting a blog

I badly wanted to be an organized artist from my first release. This is the first step of it.
This idea came up to me last noon. So I wasted couple of hours on youtube and found the best free option to create a website. Then there was this blog thing on the side. And the research went on and on for couple of days. Now you are reading my first blog
